Just follow these step to create database in ms access.

Step 01 :  Click on windows start button type msaccess in search box.

step 02 : Click on MS Access icon database open it.

step 03 : The main screen will appear of ms access select the blank database , and enter the name of database in the text filed you can change the location of your database by click on right side of yellow icon.

step 04 : Enter the database name then click the create button in bottom.

step 05: Click on create button the main interface of ms access will open like the following pics by default table1 automatically created you can delete or rename it or create new table .

Following step to create data table

First delete the default table right click on table 1 and click the delete button.

step : 01 In the ribbon bar select the create tab you see the 2 method of creating of table 1. direct table 2. create table by design . So select the Table Design . A empty table like spreed sheet will open.

step 02 : Now created the filed column related to your table like student. The first column should be primary, to make the first column unique enter the cursor in first column field and got to the top menu and select the key icon. You will see this little icon key in left of primary column like in this pics.

  • In this table studentid is a primary key which is unique and no chance to duplicate and when user enter the data in this column the field will auto increment number with unique serial . You can select the data about in this field by open the select combo box in right side either number or auto number.
  • The second field is name of student i.e first name , last name, father name address etc so in this field you should the data type text (note: if your are using sql server database then you can select the “char” data type to save the name or address of student.
  • The 3rd field is date to store the date value in table you should select the data type data for date of birth, date enrol or other date.In date data type you can choose the date time format in the bottom of general tab section i.e General Date: 16/06/2020 12:29:00 pm, Long Date Tuseday , Jun 16, 2020,Medium Date:jun-16-20, Short Date: 16/06/2020. For choose the time format Log Time: 12:29:00 pm, Medium Time: 12:29 pm, Short Time: 12:29.

The 4th important field is true false or Yes/No . This field is needed when keep up the status of any student or employee then you should created this field column with the name of IsActive and select the data type of this field is yes/no as its in the following picture.

In the last step save the table in database by go to the top ribbon bar in the left corner click on save icon a save dialog will open enter the name of your table and click on ok. You will see the table in left side pane with that name.
